FAQ’s

IAMH is the world's first accredited and globally inclusive workplace mental health advocate programme, available in all countries and all languages. The aim of our training is to provide delegates with the awareness, strategies and support to recognise signs of an employee who may be struggling and intervene appropriately. Attending the programme will equip delegates to become a truly global mental health first aider with the insight to understand the topic of mental health, lead a positive and practical conversation and signpost to resources.

The IAMH programme is suitable for anyone in any role, regardless of their existing qualifications. It is designed to cater to individuals from diverse professional backgrounds.

Yes, the IAMH programme is designed with a global perspective in mind. It addresses the unique challenges faced by individuals across different cultures and locations, making it highly relevant for global employees.

It’s easy to book a course with IAMH, simply click here to view and complete our booking form. We will ask for general details about you, as well as how many learners you are looking to train, the format and language required, as well as how soon you would be looking for the training to commence.

The completion of IAMH is just the beginning of a journey towards fostering a supportive and mentally healthy workplace. That’s why we offer three tiers of support options for your organisation once the training course has been completed. For more information on our supervision sessions, click here.

Absolutely, we do offer public course options. Simply complete our booking form and you will be added to our waiting list for public courses.

We limit numbers to 16 people per IAMH course so that instructors can keep people safe and supported. We also have a minimum number of 8 people to allow for an interactive learning space but we pride ourselves on being flexible. If you are looking to run an IAMH course but have less than 8 delegates, please complete our booking form and a member of the team will be in touch.

Once the assessment has been successfully completed, you will receive certification as an IAMH participant which will be valid for three years.

While both the IAMH programme and other mental health first aid courses aim to promote mental health support, IAMH offers unique features that set it apart. IAMH places a strong emphasis on cultural awareness, acknowledging and incorporating non-westernised approaches to mental health. It also addresses psychosocial risk awareness and safeguarding procedures. Furthermore, IAMH provides specialised training in virtual support, ensuring individuals receive assistance regardless of their geographical location. IAMH focuses on global consistency, offering standardised support and resources across all territories rather than regionalised approaches. Additionally, IAMH incorporates global statistics to provide a comprehensive understanding of mental health challenges faced worldwide.

Similarly to physical first aid, your IAMH training is valid for three years. We recommend that International Mental Health Advocates attend our refresher course every three years to renew their skills and update their knowledge.

Our IAMH instructor programme qualifies you to deliver your own IAMH courses independently. This programme is launching soon, and we encourage you to complete this form to register your interest for priority access upon launch. You can register your details here.

No problem! Simply book a 30-minute discovery call with us and we will be happy to explore IAMH with you in more detail and answer any questions you may have. You can easily book a call by clicking here.
